Welcome to Country Day School ! Country Day School is a private, non-sectarian, English – language school serving students from Early Childhood through High School. Our mission is to provide all our students with a traditional college preparatory education committed to high academic standards and achievement through a balanced program structured primarily on the United States curricula. Students from around the world are welcome every year and our student body represents more than 45 nationalities. The Early Childhood program welcomes children spanning ages one through five and introduces schooling with warmth, creativity and a fun, stimulating, growing and learning environment. Strong academic foundations are laid in the Elementary School, grades First through Fifth where “the basics” are complemented by a rich “specials” program, including music, art, physical education, cutting-edge technology, field studies and team sports. With a “campus” of their own, the Middle School is an active learning center for young adolescents that provide a bridge from self-contained elementary classes to the increased independence and responsibility of secondary school. Increased academic complexity, on going community service programs, life skills, sports and field trips are hallmarks of grades Sixth through Eighth. University preparation is the goal and CDS’ High School delivers. A full time college counselor steers students towards rigorous academic courses and challenging activities, designed to stimulate academic curiosity and well-rounded, successful individuals accustomed to working with people from all around the world.
