About the High School
Welcome to the High School
Harry Grzelewski - High School PrincipalHigh School students at CDS are committed to high achievement in both academics and extracurricular activities. As scholars, they have a wide variety of advanced placement as well as honors courses and electives to choose from. We recently acknowledged 17 AP scholars—students who earned distinction from the College Board for their high achievements in multiple AP classes. Our students are active in giving to others, participating in a wide variety of community service projects, many of them student generated. Their passion for the environment prompted a recent conversion of the annual family picnic into a “green” event, helping to spread environmental awareness through active participation.

Our students come from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds from all over the world. They compete athletically against Costa Rican schools in soccer, basketball and volleyball as well as participate in AASCA sports and activities with other international schools in Central America. Clubs and activities include Model United Nations, Newspaper, Yearbook, Roots and Shoots, Knowledge Bowl, National Honor Society, Drama, Choir, Concert Band and Wind Ensemble.

Welcome to the high school and enjoy your online visit.
