We offer a college prep curriculum with advanced placement courses in mathematics, science, social studies, English, and Spanish. Students can also choose honors level courses in math and English. Graduates of CDS earn a US diploma, and they have the option of earning a Costa Rican bachillerato.

Total enrollment in grades 9 through 12:
180 The school was founded in 1963. It is fully accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education, and in the United States by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The academic year begins in mid-August and ends in mid-June, with a four week break from mid-December to mid-January. The school day is from 7:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The language of instruction is English. Co- curricular activities take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. These activities include: band, clubs (e.g. Model United Nations, Knowledge Bowl, Social Service, Yearbook), and varsity and junior varsity sports (volleyball, basketball and soccer). Country Day School has a National Honor Society Chapter. Class size varies from 8 to 20 students. The teacher:student ratio is approximately 1:9.
